Description Steam PathThe Boiler used in Pakistan Steel Mills is made by Taganrog Works (Russian) water tube boiler which produces superheated steam . Steel Mills have 4 identical boilers in TPP (Thermal Power Plant).Specifications of boiler are:

The Steam from the boiler first goes to the TPP (Thermal Power Plant) which has 3 turbines having rated power of 55Mw. Specifications of these turbines are:- Two extraction points at 10-16 ata and 1.5 to 3 ata- Rated output 55 Mw- Speed 3000 rpm- Frequency 50 Hz- Steam Pressure = 85 – 95 Kg/cm2- Steam Temperature = 525 – 540 C- Cooling water flow rate (through Condenser) = 8000 m3/hr- Cooling water flow rate (through Condenser) = 8000 m3/hr- Cooling water inlet temperature = 28C- Max steam flow at nominal conditions = 402 ton/hr
