3. Galfar bags contract for the Khazzan Onshore Gas Project in
Oman Galfar bags another crucial project in Oman, which when
completed will be one of the world's biggest onshore gas
fields.
4. British petroleum (BP) has awarded this project to Galfar
Engineering & Contracting SAOG for $110-million, as a part of
their second construction contract for the project. BP has marked a
deal of 30 years with the Sultanate of Oman for the Khazzan Gas
Project. This construction will supply gas to Oman on a noteworthy
scale.

Once again, it has bagged another important project of Duqm
refinery in the Duqm region of Oman. Galfars work will include
removal and compaction of more than 12 million m3 of soil other
than laying the preparation to begin the refinery development one
year from now. "We are delighted that many Omani contractors had
expressed interest in tendering for the contract and this award
will directly benefit the local community of Duqm and Al Wusta
region," as said in his interview to Times of Oman.
