REGULATION Nationalization: In the year 1971 Govt. Nationalized all Coal Mines & in the year 1973 Coal Mine Nationalization Act. Start. Liason Office:

It take 14 Months as per regulation but delay happen due hearing of clearance & practically it take 2-3 years. Labour Laws:
Coal Mine should be allowed to have examption from provision U/S 10 of Contract Labour Act 1970.
MINE BORDER In a same region if there is minimum two
companies Extracting coal they have boundary out side coal mine.
For Under Ground Mine border also decided inside mine also. As per Indian Bureau of Mine both parties will visit both undermine and they measure 45 Meters distance from border point. i.e. every company will dig up to 45 meter distance.

LOAD FACTORS IN UG COAL MINE Major Load different motors uses inside mine. Pick load coming after 2 hrs. of every shift start. Blower load remain continue for 24 Hrs. Mine operate for 24 Hrs. Belt Motors load depend on Production, but
running continue. Lighting load 24 Hrs. continue inside mine. Pump & loader depend on situation.
COAL PRODUCTION PROCESS IN UG MINE
8 Hrs. shift per day. First they drill inside coal storage to make a hole &
put Explosive inside hole & seal it. Then they Blast explosive by electric. After blasting coal came out & then labour come at
site to load coal on small trolley vehicle. Loader also there. From Trolley coal unload on belt line & through belt
coal come in filling tank, there trucks loaded.
IRON ORE MINE
In India we seen 4 types of Iron Ore-1. Hematite (Fe203): 'ox ide of iron'. It has ferrous content
ranging from 60 to 70%.
2. Magnetite (Fe3O4): It is 'black ore 'ferrous content is often 60 % to 72 %.
3. Limonite (2Fe203.3H20): This is yellowish into" with ferrous content between 35-50%. It is c 'hydrated iron oxide' wherein iron ore is mixed oxygen and water.
4. Siderite (Fe2C03): called 'iron carbon: with ferrous content between 10-48%.
IRON ORE SPONGE IRON: After extracting of iron ore it can be used directly to steel plant. Iron
content is very high. Normally this type of iron ore like big stone & very hard. It need to crack into small size. Normally black color.
FINES: Like dust, it mix with dust. It goes to Pallet or Beneficiary plant to
produce Pallets. PALLETS: Pallets are made from fines Iron ore, there is different process to
make Pallets.
IRON ORE MINE Iron ore mines are open cast, it is form of hills. After extracting iron ore from hill it goes down dipper inside
land. Iron ore mine create dusty pollution due to Open Cast
Mine. Iron Ore Mines operator need water spared around Mine
area. Manganese Ore mines are very costly due to Ispat made
from Manganese.

IRON ORE PRODUCTION PROCESS Drill in to iron ore & put explosive for blasting. In some mines or small companies are drill by
machine & break in to small pieces of Iron ore. Then loader load on truck and then it goes to crasher
machine. Inside crasher machine it crash iron ore pieces in
different type of small pieces. In crashing machine there is different sizes of net,
from net different size iron pieces come out, called Sponge Iron.
They make different size of iron ore as per client requirement.

For fine it extract and load on truck & goes to storage tank.
From storage tank it goes to belt line & from belt line it goes to beneficiary plant for making pallets.
Those company who did not have pallet plant inside mine they sell fine to outside to different beneficiary plant.
For Example MESCO mines sale fine to BRPL.

TRENDS IN IRON ORE INDUSTRY Now a days companies are setting up beneficiary plant inside
Mine. This is happen where water is available. Many companies are coming to set up beneficiary plant near
by Iron ore mine. Reason: Iron is very weighted, it transportation cost by road
is very high. For this some companies also set up pipe line. Power Availability: Grid supply available many mines. More
than 50% mines are have no supply of Grid, they use DG set. Most of companies have own DG set, they have enough fund
