Project idea/ expertise:

• StroNGER S.r.l. is a research spin-off company

(SME) that works as a link between the Academic

Sector and the Industry in Civil and Environmental

Engineering focusing on structural design.

• The Company’s expertise regards the structural

assessment and retrofitting of heritage buildings,

the structural design of special structures and

infrastructures, the assessment of accidental and

extreme loads, forensic investigations, and

energy harvesting.

• StroNGER is currently involved in:

• the ESA (European Space Agency) BIC Lazio space

technology transfer program, with the Energy

Harvesting project piezoTsensor

(www.piezotsensor.eu).

• the Lazio Region financed project: S.I.V.E.S.

(Information based Modules for the Assessment of the

Structural Vulnerability of Historical Buildings).

Project idea/ expertise:

• StroNGER has a vast expertise in structural

analysis and design. It offers methodologies and

tools for high performance structures from the points

of view of dependability, resilience and

sustainability, using specialized numerical

analyses with different finite element codes and

advanced multi-physics simulations.

• StroNGER’s portfolio includes the retrofitting of

heritage buildings, the structural design of long-

span bridges, tunnels, high-rise buildings and

offshore wind turbines, the design of innovative

precast connections, the assessment of accidental

actions such as fire and explosion, and the design

of energy harvesting systems.

• StroNGER has a strong international profile with a

constant participation in International and EU

research proposals (FP7, Horizon 2020, Horizon

2020 SME Instrument).
