Introduction / in short:

The company Intelshell, is developing a new innovative product/concept within the process of carpet roll handling (Warehousing).

The product is called “Intelshell” (the intelligent cartridge-case).

Idea is to create a standardized cartridge-case with a unique identifier for use throughout the wholelogistic chain, therefore optimizing handling costs, reduce errors and increase efficiency.

Using a specialized forklift with a large steel pen, a carpet roll can be picked-up and moved through the warehouse. The forklift driver can visual identify the correct roll, insert the steel pen into theinner carpet roll and pick it up. See image below.

The carpet roll has an inner case-cartridge made from plastic. The identification of a carpet roll is done on visual sight using a human readable number on the carpet roll. See image below

In short, the concept can be dived into two parts:

Standardized case-cartridge

The company Intelshell will develop a patented standarized case/cartridge for carpets with an unique identification number. This intentification number is paired to the case- cardridge on three different ways:

- Human readable, for visual identification. - Barcode, for identifaction by barcode readers and handheld terminals. - Passive RFID chip for identification by RFID reader on the forklift pen.

Hardware

The human readable and barcode identification on the case-cartridge can be used / implemented byany WMS /ERP system with barcode readers and/or handheld devices to improve handling/efficiency and reduce errors.

The RFID identification of a carpet roll with the forklift pen however, is a complete new and innovative concept .

Based on the good relationship, INTELSHELL would like partners to participate in this project.

Goal :• RFID reader integrated in the forklift pen. • RFID reader connected to a (truck) terminal.• Truck terminal compatible with the existing Intelshell software for easy rollout in future. • Identification of carpetrolls.

First step will be the creation of a prototype so we can build a test case to show to potential customers.

Prototype:

The prototype will consist of the above hardware (truck terminal connected to a RFID reader in theforklift pen with a demonstration software program:

- Go to location XY and confirm (Touch) - Pick up carpet with identification XXXXX - When the forklift pen is inserted into the carpet cartridge, the truck terminal display turns

! green to confirm that the correct carpet is selected. - Move carpet to location XY and confirm (Touch) - Next instruction (Touch)
