Since its founding in 1982, Gantner Instruments has been a specialist for distributed measuring and

I/O systems and is the specialist for the measurement of mechanical, thermal and electrical quantities. Our

know-how is refl ected in all our products and in the associated services. Despite their outstanding performance

Traditional and Innovative – Local and Global

1982

2000Founding of the subsidiary in Darmstadt, Germany.

1982Professor Wilhelm Gantner founds Gantner Electronic in Vorarlberg, Austria on the basis of his developments in the fi eld of microelectronics. 2004

The Instrumentation business area is spun off from Gantner Instruments and moves to separate premises in 2006.

2008A subsidiary is founded in Chennai, India.

2010Gantner Instruments Environment Solu-tions is founded in Zwönitz, Germany. The aim here is to bundle environ-mental measuring technology and data logging.

Gantner concentrates from the very outset on the decentralised measurement of process parameters. In 1988 Gantner presentsthe first measuring module with full-scale Profibus DP.

2000 The new e.series product range is presented and fi nds very broad acceptance in measuring and testing technology.

1990–1995 The new ISM Series is presented. The IDL data loggers are used even today for sophisticated long-term monitoring applications. Dependability, stability and precision are their main characteristics.

2009 Q.series – the new generation of measuring systems up to 100 kHz – is presented. Gantner offers one of the first systems with EtherCAT interface.

Our subsidiary, Gantner Environment Solutions in Zwönitz/Saxony,

offers high-quality components and sophisticated solutions for the

measurement, monitoring and evaluation of parameters in environ-

mental technology, in particular for applications in photovoltaics.

The string.bloxx product range is designed for measurements in the

photovoltaic sector. The fields of application are in utility grade

solar power plants.
