provides products to industries conveying, transporting, processing, and storing powders and bulk solids. Focused on meeting customer needs, Airmatic Inc recently launched a new product, the Teflon-Coated Spike Bob Level Sensor from one of its core product suppliers.

A cable and weight-based sensor for measuring the level of both solid and powder materials, the Teflon-Coated Spike Bob Sensor is convenient for materials prone to static clinging. These materials include frack sand and silica, ingredients and additives, minerals and powdered chemicals, and other materials that build up over time on the sensor.

Airmatic Products• The probe has a Teflon coating that prevents buildup of sticky

materials on its surface. The coating is FDA-approved and can be used in silos, bins, or tanks holding ingredients for human and animal food processing or for pharmaceutical purposes.

The Teflon sensor is simply dropped into the material surface in the bin, and on making contact with the surface, retracts. By counting the pulses on retraction, personnel can accurately measure the depth of the material from the top of the bin. The sensor can be configured to take measurements on predetermined time intervals or simply on demand.
