In 2014 Altair celebrates the 20-year anniversary of the first release of OptiStruct, the award-winning optimization software for structural design. In this brief retrospective, Mr. Jeffrey Brennan, originator and early product manager for OptiStruct, will discuss the origins of this innovative technology, the maturation, key milestones and development progress made working with customers all over the world over 20 years and how the technology is impacting product design today. Mr. Brennan will also look toward the future of OptiStruct and how current efforts and future advancements, as well as synergies with other emerging technologies, will impact the future of simulation driven design.
