Who are you?•We are going to be working together for an entire year. It is pretty important that I get to know you, and you get to know me.

• I would like you to write a short piece of writing introducing yourself to me. We will look at an example and I will give you a checklist of what to include.

• There will also be an extension activity for those who finish or would like a challenge. You should always strive to complete these.

Look at these two examples. Which is better and why? Discuss with your neighbour. 1. my name is miss kristian and I like to bake cakes and i always

bring them in for my classes when they are really good. i have two sibling called louise and paul and i live with my boyfriend. i have 4 guinea pigs and I love them a lot. i also really like dogs and go crazy when i see puppies or anything soft and cute. people often tell me i am crazy.

2. Hello! I’m Miss Kristian; but you can call me Miss. I’m a teacher at Chellaston Academy and I love my job. Teaching isn’t my only passion as my students soon find out. Baking is one of my favourite past times and I often bring these in when my class has been extra brilliant. As well as cooking in my free time I look after and care for four cute guinea pigs. Small soft things are a real weakness for me, so much so that I often squeak and go very gooey at puppies, kittens and bunnies. Due to this reaction people often think I am crazy.
