Storyline

Bored with their relationship, Kimberly breaks up with her boyfriend while they’re on a date. After returning home, James notices something mysterious about his change: the £5 note he received in his change has a mobile number written on it. After much wondering, curiosity becomes too much for him, who against his better judgements he decides to send a text to the unknown number. After talking and building a relationship between the two, James feels compelled to meet this mysterious woman. This leads to the confession of how Jennifer purposely wrote her number on the £5 note, after seeing the break up between James and Kimberly.

Interesting points

I like how it goes black and white for her memories.

I like how you get to see that they meet and make friends and the credits go over the top instead of on a black screen. I also like how they’ve filmed so that the credits fit on the screen, not covering their faces.

Evaluation

Acting: I think the acting is really good, it portrays the feelings of the characters really well.

Locations: I think the locations work really well for the film and look real.

Edit: I really like this short film, I like how the continuity works (apart from the text) and it really looks like the passing of time. I also like how Jennifer’s memories are in black and white.
