SANTA ANNA’S CHAPPEL
First, it was a graveyard and in 1502 it changed into a hospital for the poor people.
MEDIEVAL CEMETERY In 1817 it was the cemetery of Saint John. Now it is a
tourist office. But there is still a sector underneath the glass floor where you can see the former tombs
excavated in the natural soil.
ST. BARTHOLOMEW’S CHURCH
It is in the centre of the medieval primitive Xàbia. It was a fortress church. When the enemy pirates came to
attack the town the people hid inside it, except for the men, who fought the pirates. It has got an Isabelline
gothic style. It has an arch over the door and the Heraldic coat of arms of the Lords of Xàbia.
