Creating video content for class
Goal
• To create a short video (1-2 mins) and know how to make it available online
• To see the whole process of production from pre to post production
Pre-production
• Read some of the blogs in the ‘creating video’ subpage of the google site
• Chose a simple topic (a word, theory, event)• Brainstorm ideas of how to present it• Collate content (incl. a script?)
Production
• Produce content– Be prepared for multiple takes– Check lighting/ sound
• Import content into editing package (such as moviemaker)
• Edit
Post-production
• Credits• Think about subtitles (if you have a script)• How could you make the video available?
Share and reflect
• What have we learnt?• Could this be useful?• How might we build on this?
What next?
