WMS Update: Create Pallet Id in item Transaction Journal

Usage:

- Transfer pallet quantity from one pallet to another- Add item inventory to the warehouse- Transfer item from a cancelled sales order to an opened sales order.

Demo 1: Add quantity to inventory

Scenario: In this example, we will add 50 cases of Item SR-386022C to inventory because the pallet was physically produced but it was never registered. The sales order line linked to this production is SO: 972915S-9To do this:

- Open the transfer journal.Path: Inventory Management >> Journals>> Item Transactions >> Profit/Journal

- Click on Profit/ Loss to open the form- Click on the new icon to start a new Journal.- Open the journal line by clicking on line button.

Profit/Loss Journal Line- Enter Item Number SR-386022C in Item number field in the journal line - The Location will be “F418” and the Warehouse is “ ALUF” - To add a new pallet, click Function >> Create New Pallet to open the Insert Pallet form.

- In the Reference field we will enter the sales order number : 972915S- In the Line field we will type : 9- The insert pallet form will automatically create a new pallet

- Click on the select button to insert the new pallet into the Profit/Loss Journal Line- In the quantity field enter 50

- Then, validate your entrees before you post the journal. Note: The reference could be Sales Order line or a Production number.

Dynamics AX will create a new pallet number automatically

Demo 2: Transfers an item quantity from one pallet to another

Scenario: From same sales order line 972915S-9; we would need 64 more cases, if we want to honor this order. We know that the sales order line “973753S-14” has been canceled. So, it is possible to use the pallet number “S973753S-0-7” of 64 cases for that purpose. Based on our company business rules this pallet number could not be used for the sales order 972915S-9. Thus we have to transfer the quantity from pallet “S973753S-0-7” to the sales order 972915S-9.

To do this:- Open the transfer journal.

Path: Inventory Management >> Journals>> Item Transactions >> Transfer - Click on Transfer to open the form- Click on the new icon to start a new Journal.- Open the journal line by clicking on line button

Transfer Journal Line

- Add Item Number : SR-386022C in Item number field on the journal line - The From Location will be F418 and the From Warehouse is ALUF- Our From Pallet is S973753S-0-7 and the quantity is “-64”- To add the new pallet, click Function >> Create New Pallet to open the Insert Pallet form.- We will choose ALUF as the warehouse, F418 as storage location

- In the reference field we will enter the sales order number 972915S- In the line field we will type 9- The Insert pallet form will automatically create a new pallet

- Click on the Select button to insert the pallet into the Transfers Journal line

Transfer Journal line- Then, validate your entrees before your post the journal. - Note: The reference could be Sales Order line or a Production number.
