William’s life• William was born on 26th of April 1564 at Stratford ,England, he

was the third of eight brothers and sisters. He went to school in 1571 at the age of 7. on 1582 Shakespeare fell in love... At the age of 18, he married the considerably older Anne Hathaway (26 years old) on 27th of November . On 1592 he left his family to work as a playwright and an actor. in 1593 he wrote his first play, Henry VI, by the end of the year he became famous . unfortunately theaters in London closed because of the black plague . By 1595 he has already written about 12 poems and plays , moreover he has written Richard II and performed it that very same year. On 1613 the globe theatre burns , but is recovered on 1614. On 1616 he dies after writing about 37 plays.

and literature• He was alive during the renaissance of England, this

motivated him to write more• He began his education at the age of seven , which

was not usual at the time

• As we see in his works , William uses old English. Which is the language of the Anglo-Saxons ,an inflected language with a Germanic vocabulary, and also is very different from the modern English we us now a days

The blank verse• A blank verse is a poem or lines with no rhyme but

does have iambic pentameter. This means it consists of lines of five feet, each foot being iambic, meaning two syllables long, one unstressed followed by a stressed syllable.

• Blank verse has been described as "probably the most common and influential form that English poetry has taken since the 16th century” it has been estimated that "about three-quarters of all English poetry is in blank verse."
