What Is Engineering??

• Engineering is the discipline, art and profession of acquiring and applying technical, scientific, and mathematical knowledge to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems, and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention.

• In other words, the branch of study which deals with the practical application of science is known as engineering.

How To Get Into Engineering??

• There are 2 ways of getting into engineering:• Through competitive examinations like

EAMCET, AIEEE, IIT-JEE, BITSAT, VITEEE, SRM-EEE, etc.

• Every state has it’s own engineering entrance test like K-CET, MH-CET, etc.

• Through lateral entry into 2nd year, after completing Diploma in any field.

Qualifications To Get Into Engineering

• Should pass 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 60%

• The stream of 10+2 should have Mathematics and Physics as main subjects

• For the 2nd method:• Should pass Diploma with a minimum

aggregate of 60% upon which the candidate is eligible to join as a Lateral Entry.

Use Of Getting A Degree In Engineering.

• You are rarely in a position where you simply cannot find a job — the world needs more and more engineers all the time.

• An engineering degree is a great launch pad for careers in business, humanities, and even the civil services.

• Indian engineers are more likely to get scholarships for further studies in the US than any other graduates. Hence, if you want to study and/or work abroad at some point in your life, then engineering is the career for you.

Concentration Of subjects At School Level

• Thorough study of subjects like Mathematics, physics, chemistry.

• Proper knowledge of every subject by conceptual study.

• Special care is to be taken so that you gain a proper grip over English.

• Usage, grammar and vocabulary should be development at the same time in English is essential.

• Proper understanding of the subject being studied.

• By hearting the subject doesn’t always help.• Understanding the inner meaning of the

subject helps you reproduce it in a better manner when required.
