What Is a Higher ACT Test Score Worth to You?

A higher ACT Test score could be worth more than you think. If you are wondering whether or not you should take another ACT Test to increase your score, YES, you should take another test. But first, invest in an Online ACT Test Prep Class or Private or Small Group Class In-person ACT Test Prep.

(For you math whizzes, to calculate your return on investment, subtract the cost of the ACT Prep Class from the total scholarship dollars to be received and divide the result by the cost of the ACT Prep Class...then multiply that result by 100 to arrive at the percent return on investment.)



For many universities with a 4-year cost for tuition and fees of up to $280,000, your return on investment would be considerably higher than 15,535%.

I don't know of any investor who wouldn't be ecstatic over that return on investment.



OK, so maybe you won't get a full ride. However, you could still end up with a significant scholarship.

What does an ACT score improvement of one or two or three points get you? If you have already scored a 26 or better on the ACT, every one point improvement in ACT score could result in thousands of scholarship dollars.



Even if you only received a thousand dollars per year scholarship over your four-year college attendance you would experience a 400% return on your $799 investment in ACT Prep. Who wouldn't want that and the lower college debt that goes along with it?

Ask your college admissions office what a 28 to 30 point or higher ACT score would award you in scholarship dollars.



Now, let's talk about the qualitative factor in your decision.

What is it worth to you to attend the university of your choice, one with the right reputation, a school that is the right size for you in the right location and with the right climate, a university that has the necessary programs to support your career goals? It's hard to imagine what that is worth to you.



My guess is that it is worth a whole lot. If you could put a dollar figure on it, it is probably worth at least the difference in cost between your university of choice and some other university.
