The Story Behind The Book

• Ever since I was a little kid, I knew that one day I would write a book.

• In 2007, I finished my freshman year of college with already having started my first business.

• As I developed myself over the next several years, I discovered the world of promotional marketing.

• In 2010, I began a community on Facebook for event marketers everywhere.

The Community

• Originally titled “Superduper Promotional Rockstars”, the group is currently known as Super Promotional Rockstars.

• In just 4 years time, it has grown to well over 10,000 event marketers.

• The group was one of the first to cater to the event industry field marketers.

• It is also the only group focused on providing resources, training, and coaching for event marketers everywhere.

The Movement

• With the massive growth of Promo Rockstars/SPR, the community and I created a higher standard for the industry.

• For the first several years, we focused on exclusive coaching groups quarterly that required those interested to pass a vigorous screening.

• Then, we began to host weekly Google Hangouts to provide FREE training on different topics.

• All of these resources drove the level of engagement to a whole new level unseen in other groups.

The Information Movement

• In the beginning, there were very few groups online catering to the events and promotional industry.

• Then came along hundreds of agencies with new blogs, training platforms, and online portals.

• The revolution in the delivery of information has been astounding. More transparency was the goal for all.

• Promo Rockstars was the only FB group that was not a marketing firm or staffing agency to create a fully-operating website with training, videos, audio, PDFs, and a new ebook/paperback FREE to anyone interested.

The Promo Rockstar Movement will be reaching out worldwide for the biggest impact. You’re at the right place at the right time.

• Books offer knowledge, expertise, and tools necessary to achieve the next-level in any industry.

• So why not write one for the event marketing industry?

• The book culminated over a two-year period of writing late-nights.

• We wanted to be the first group to achieve the publication of a group representative of an online FB community in event marketing.

Worldwide Reach

• Currently we have members in over 16 countries around the world, including the US, Canada, Brazil, Ireland, and the UK.

• In the future, transcription of trainings, books, etc will have to occur in multiple languages.

• Currently, we have our books being sold in multiple countries around the world, most notably the U.S., UK, and Canada.

• Finding gigs within the industry is not the challenge. We know this.

• The challenge is finding quality candidates who will deliver 100% professional work at all times and be ethical within the industry.

• The need for transparency is ever-growing. We are leading the way in transparency on the field side of event marketing.
