Improving & Optimizing Your Audio

Choppy or distorted sound is almost always caused by bandwidth limitations at your own location.

Make sure your setup is optimized for the type of internet connection speed you have.

Click Tools>Preferences>Connection

It can also help to run the audio setup wizard.

Audio “speeding up” or slowing down: This is temporary while your computer and connection buffer. After a few moments, it will normalize.

If your bandwidth is still too limited for quality audio, click the telephone icon for the dial-in telephone audio.

Located in the bottom left area of your screen.

Chat Window Too Small?If your chat window is too small to follow the conversation, enlarge it.

Click View>Layouts>Wide Layout

You can always reduce the chat window size again by clicking View>Layouts>Default Layout

FYI – Private chat you send to other members is visible to moderators and speakers.

Let’s face it: Webinars are a great way to convey information inexpensively, quickly and conveniently. But by themselves, they don’t necessarily mean participants will apply what they learn.

And chat is a great way for participants to share information during the webinar. But wouldn’t it add far more learning value to enable participants to have pre-session conversations and discussions after the event, as they apply the content?

By integrating a few tools with your webinars, you can increase and even track their learning value. Learning can be so much more than talking heads and PowerPoint!

Discussions & Discussion Groups – Invite participants to join pre-session discussions online. Avoid wasting webinar time on basics: Post advance materials. Assign pre-work and exercises in the discussion group before the webinar. Enable participants to post questions, share experiences, exchange ideas after applying the information.
