1.0 definition

Waterfront literally is a  district, the citybordering the water, the harbor area(Echols, 2003).

urban waterfront  means  an urban environment inor near the waters edge, such as the location inmajor port areas in the metropolis (Wrenn,1983).

Of the two terms  the definition of waterfront is an area or areas located near / adjacent to water areas wherethere are one or several events and activitiesat the meeting area.
