Good Example of Water Cycle

Water Cycle:The purpose of the water cycle is to constantly replenish the most

important natural resource needed for all living things to exist: water.

SOL 3.9 The student will investigate and understand the water cycle and its relationship to life on Earth. b)the energy from the sun drives the

water cycle; c)the water cycle involves several processes.

A. Evaporation:Sun and wind causes water to evaporate.

B. Condensation:This is a process where water vapor

(gas) gets cold and changes back into a liquid, forming clouds.

C. Precipitation is falling moisture from the clouds: Rain, Snow, Sleet, and Hail.

D. Collection of water occurs in oceans, streams, lakes, and rivers.

The water cycle repeats each step from A through D.
