In ancient times breakfast wasn’t considered an important meal, and so was rarely eaten. Breakfast

has slowly evolved over generations and has dramatically different to how it first originated.

Breakfast has become a popular menu item in recent years and has become increasingly easy to

find, being found offered in most restaurants and café’s in the U.K. Yet despite this, 20 million of us

brits skip breakfast every day, and those who do, only spend around an average of 9.8 minutes on it.

While 34% of people in the U.K skip breakfast, that compares to only 18% in Italy, 17% in France and

13% in Spain.

Now, more marketing campaigns are being made to promote breakfast and their products, to attract

more consumers. Some of them in the form of engaging advertisements such as this one and

another one by Weetabix which challenged you to have Weetabix every day with different sides and

toppings and notice a change in your lifestyle, these ultimately are used to improve sales for the

company but also outline the health benefits which they offer. But most importantly what do the

great British public think of breakfast?

Breakfast is the first meal of the day, and arguably the most important, with ranges of options

available.

We all love a good treat in the morning don’t we?

But yet, why is it that none of us want to eat it, when we can all get it so easily?
