Close ups are used throughout the music video to show the singers emotions and emphasise his desperation and sadness over losing his girlfriend. They picture him clearly, meaning that the audience identifies with his situation and not the other two shown in the video. The close ups only show the singer by himself emphasising the loneliness he is singing about as no one understands how he feels. The close
ups are the only shots used in this location for the performance shots.
Mid shots blend in with the narrative shots showing the audience what the singer is wearing, who he is with and how he is acting. The mid shots show he is drunk as he leans on his friends but also show his desperation as we are still able to see the emotion on his face.
Again the mid shots are the only performance shots used throughout this location.
