Aaron Kyle Tveit was born on October 21, 1983 in Middletown, New York. He has a younger brother. He went to Middletown High School where he performed in theater and also did sports. He went to Ithaca College and majored in vocal performance but after a year switched to musical theater. He left it after two years to join the tour of Rent and later was Link Larkin in the national tour of Hairspray.

He returned to Broadway with Catch Me If You Can in mid-2011, when he received many awards. He starred in Howl, where he played a gay guy because apparently he enjoys doing that but I can assure you he is Not Gay. He starred in Gossip Girl for 10 episodes and also had two roles on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.
