Teacher Planning and Management

Background and Planning

Classroom Images

•The abuse of drugs in Nigeria is escalating rapidly from cannabis abuse to the more

dangerous drugs and from limited groups of drug users to a wider range of people

abusing drugs. The most common and available drug of abuse is still cannabis, The

trafficking in and abuse of cocaine and heroin are the most recent developments in

some African countries that had had no previous experience with these drugs.

• students have been asked to do a research using ICT resources like the internet to find information on the use and abuse of drugs which could impact negatively on their peers and their immediate community.

• The student were then grouped into three and allowed to carry out three different kinds of projects according to their findings on the internet, which are 1. Awareness campaign 2. Discussion forum 3. Collation of their findings to make a newsletter for the school.
