What Is a Wiki?

Get a wiki!

PBWiki

PBWiki is easy to use. Offers perks for educational wikis, the most important being ad-free wiki space.  A monthly fee allow more customization options (additional backgrounds), additional file storage

Wetpaint

Wetpaint offers many templates and a wide variety of styles ("skins") which allows for more customization.  All Wetpaint wikis have ads (including educational wikis)-- they are included in sidebars along the side and bottom and are fairly unobtrusive

Wikispaces

Clean, no-frills wikis.  Ads appear along the sidebar for free wikis-- ad-free wikis are available for $5 a month.  Wikis: Ready or Not!

•Public: can be read or edited by anyone

•Protected: can be viewed by anyone, can only be edited by wiki members

•Private: can only be viewed or edited by wiki members
