• Tell your students to read a piece of news from a newspaper or news site.

• The students should choose one piece of news (or the teacher can tell them what news to read about).

• Students record their opinion about it or possible solutions (if applicable)

• Variations: film/book/restaurant reviews,

• Choose a book, short story or any text for the whole class to read

• Create a board for that reading• Students have to write favorite quotes/passages,

ask questions that come to mind while reading the text, new vocabulary they have learned

• Each type of post can have a specific color• Students have to reply to questions and posts

One more for Reading...

• Choose a book, short story or any text for the whole class to read

• Create a word cloud with key words from the text• Students have to take turns choosing a word

from the cloud and saying how it’s related to the story

• Variation: Students write or record na audio file using the keywords to discuss/comment on the reading

Listening...

• Choose na audio book or podcast of a story (or record one)

• Students have to read the story and create a comic strip retelling the story

• Variation: Give them the audio/podcast without the end of the story. Have students create the comic strip with na ending for it.

All Skills...

• After a week, month, unit or semester do some reflection in class about what they have learned

• Have students create a digital poster using Glogster about their learning during that period of time

• They can include: favorite activity, what I struggled with, a vocabulary log (with images), na audio reflection
