GLOGSTER

Glogster is a website that can be used by students and teachers create projects.

Teachers can create assignment sheets, notes for the students.

Students can complete a science lab, a timeline, book report and more!

Many templates to choose from!

GLOG PROS AND CONS

Pros

Fun and colorful

Templates allow ease in designing

Video and image tools allow you to search for videos from Youtube and images from Google right in the project editor!

Cons

Website is slow.

It is tough to figure out how to type and add images and pictures.

There is not an undo button if a teacher or student accidentally deletes an item on their glog or wants to go back to a product they had before.

In it you will find a lesson plan idea for using glogs to create a timeline (which is a grade 4 Social Studies standard!), as well as a video on how to use the website!

KAHOOT

Kahoot is a quiz, discussion, or survey website for use in the classroom. www.getkahoot.com

Teachers can create quizzes or search for a pre-made quiz on their topic.

Students enter a pin code on any device with internet at kahoot.it and enter their name.

Teacher shows the questions on the projector from their computer.

Students get feedback once everyone has answered.

Teacher can get a score report for every quiz for data analysis.

Can be used for exit tickets for any lesson, get student opinions on a lesson, or to figure out sides for a debate!

Easy to use. Can create your own quizzes, or use one already created.

Engages students.

Gives real time results.

Allows for easy data analysis.

Cons

Only multiple choice.

Often works slowly or game pin is not shown.

Requires each student to have a internet-capable device.

Shows the question only on teacher computer.
