Test Scores• If you have completed any IB/AP courses and you haven’t

received your scores, please DO NOT register for that course that you believe you might have completed or are going to complete.

• For most of the AP exams, a score of 3 is necessary to earn college credit. For IB exams, a score of 4 is usually required.

• All official test scores must be submitted to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to receive university credit.

• Scheduled for Summer B– DEP 2004 – Life Cycle (or additional FKL)– SYG 2000 – Intro to Sociology

• Could be another FKL (fine arts, social and behavioral science) if PSY/SYG completed

• Changing your schedule may effect your entry semester to the College of Nursing.• You will schedule, change, and register for your own classes.• *You must leave here today registered for 15 or more credit hours and not exceed 18 for FALL.

What are General Education Courses?

• 36 credit hours (usually 12 courses) of lower-level General Education courses, usually completed by the end of your sophomore year. Many are pre-requisites for Nursing.

• 6 credit hours (usually 2 courses) of upper-level course requirements, usually taken during the junior or senior year. Completed within Nursing Upper Division program

Academic FoundationsAcademic Foundations is a 3 credit discussion-based introductory seminar course that is designed to ensure that your college experience is a #SUCCESS.

CANVAS• Available at my.usf.edu under “learning and teaching tools”• University wide system that controls classes and some organizations• Courses use CANVAS for submission of assignments, uploading syllabi, group

work, communication with students, calendars, and posting grades• Organizations use CANVAS to communicate to large groups and pass on

information to members of the group (i.e. pre-nursing student group)• If the course is online, most likely through CANVAS specifically-unless noted

Degreeworks• University wide system for tracking requirements for undergraduate

majors• Can be found on the portal: my.usf.edu or OASIS• Following information can be found:

– Name, U-Number, Major, credits, test scores, class status– FKL requirements one of the first sections

• *List of classes given for each section– Gordon Rule requirements below FKLs– Major requirements below Gordon Rule– *Red is needed, blue is in progress, green is completed– Current class schedule and notes at bottom
