benefit they provide to the body, will propose core and elective classes that will be taught on a rotating basis,

Role of Pulpit Ministry

• The pulpit ministry is a key element in learning, but is insufficient by itself.

• Insufficient in its scope

• Insufficient in its purpose

• Insufficient in its structure

How Are We Doing?• A noble history

• An overburdened ministry structure

• A mix of purposes

• An unguided and unsupervised ministry structure

Why Pastoral Oversight?• Because our learning time is as much

a ministry of the Word as the pulpit ministry.

• Because pastors are commanded to oversee the ministry of the Word.

• Because pastors will give an account of their leadership in the church.

What would a systematic church education look like?

• An allotted time slot

• A set rotation of core information

• A changing rotation of electives

How do we begin the process?

• Sensitive to the needs of established classes experiencing high levels of care

• Establishment of core and elective plan

• Utilizing existing and new teachers

• 2013 learning goal is one of integration
