Day Four: The Presentation Instructor: Daniel Ball Analyze Learners: Students are in the ninth grade. There are twenty-eight students in the class. The class is composed of sixteen girls and twelve boys, with two Hispanic students and one African-American student. State Objectives: Students will demonstrate their understanding of their chosen aspect of the American Civil War with ninety percent competency by presenting a group project to the class as a whole. Select Media, Materials, and Methods: Computers Projector Twitter Pencils Paper PowerPoint Smart Board Utilize Media, Material, and Methods: 1- The computer will be used to access digital media and present a short lecture to the class. Students will use their computers to tweet. 2- The projector will be connected to the teachers computer to project the student PowerPoint and to show the class the YouTube videos. 3- Twitter will be used by the students to share information they found the most interesting from each presentation. 4-Pencils will be used by the students to write down what they want to tweet about on the paper provided. 5- Paper will be used with the pencils to write down what they want to tweet about from the presentations. 6- PowerPoint will be used by the students to present information and images to the class during their presentations. 7- The Smart Board will be used with the projector and the teacher's computer to allow students to give their presentations.

Day Four:The Presentation

Analyze Learners:

Require Learner Participation:

Note taking and Questions.Students will be encouraged to take notes and ask questions at the end of each presentation.

Twitter.Students will at the end of each presentation choose something they learned from each

presentation and found interesting and tweet it out at the class hash tag #AmerHST202 and #AmericanCivilWar.

Presentations.Each student group will present the presentation they have been working on throughout the unit

lesson to the class. All members of the group must speak during the presentation.

Evaluate and Revise:

Students will be evaluated on their attentiveness to the presenters and their participation in the twitter exercise.

The presentations will be evaluated and grade using the rubric attached to the assignment instructions given on day one.
