Outline the structure of the creative media sector

*Film Industry

*The film industry/motion picture industry is the basic terminology used to define film creation.

*They produce moving pictures for our entertainment and make a load of money.

*Disney, Universal and DreamWorks take a big role in the film industry.

*They have to film, get actors, distribute, design, animations etc. Really hard work goes into making films.

*Radio Industry

*The radio industry is the term for companies or public service providers who broadcast on a/their radio station.

*They have to record, get actors, agents, radio commercial producers, radio broadcast journalists, radio news editors etc. A lot also goes into the radio industry.

*BBC, absolute radio, smooth fm, classic fm, kiss are all radio companies involved in radio.

*Games Design Industry

*Game design is art joining with gaming. Along with aesthetics to make games look pretty.

*They produce games for our entertainment, they can also be educating like this game:

*Activision, Mojang, Rockstar etc.

*Television Industry

*Television is where programs and movies are streamed, most channels have to be paid for through either virgin, sky etc. BBC channels are complimentary if a TV license is being paid for and is valid.

*They are the ones who air the programs/movies on their channels.

*BBC, ITV, Channel 4, E4, FOX, Sky, Virgin etc.

*Print Industry

*They produce magazine's and newspapers, posters etc.

*They share horrific stories, advertisements, news, gossip.

*Games master, OK, Daily Mail, The Sun are all part of this industry.

*Advertising & Marketing Industry

* Advertising is closely followed by marketing communication which is  used to persuade an audience to take or continue some action, usually with respect to a commercial offering, or political or ideological support.

* They will have to sell and persuade customers why they should purchase their product and do this through the advertising industry. Marketing is how much they sell their products for, all of the numbers in a company basically.

* KFC, Cadburys, Subway etc.

*Press

*This is the news and the cameras at big/small events. They capture footage for our entertainment. They also make up things to draw us close into the story until the company doing so are noticed. There’s a lot of gossip that gets thrown around.

*They produce video and information for television, magazine's, radio. Anything where celebs may be exposed for “smoking” as an example.

*BBC, OK, Take a break, chat, channel 4 news etc.
