Outline the structure of the creative media sector

The film industry is involved in the creation and distribution of films as a product. It is a worldwide phenomenon.Some countries are better at producing a movie then others, for example;United States, China & Japan are the biggest in producing movies then the rest. Examples of companies; DreamWorks Animation, 20th Century Fox, Blue sky studios.

The radio industry is a genetic term for any companies or public service providers who are involved with the broadcast of radio stations. Examples of Radio companies; BBC Radio 1, Capital Xtra, UCB Gospel, Sunrise radio.

The Games Design Industry is games split up into many different sections. Its gaming in more detail, including programming, level editing etc. Its Media/Art mixed in with the joys of gaming to create something magical. They produce games in all different genres to fit everybody’s purpose. Examples of companies within these sectors; Mojang-Who created Minecraft, Rockstar-The producers of GTA.

The Television Industry has many different sectors to make the whole thing. It is one of the most powerful industries with ranging channels that vary over peoples opinions. Different sectors of television create all the programs in different genres. Sectors following; BBC,ITV,E4 etc…

The Print Industry is massive multinational companies creating templates and inserting text & images to advertise what their company is about. The sun, OK, gamesmaster are examples of companies that create print adverts for their products.

Advertising & Marketing industry is used to persuade an audience to take or continue some action, usually with respect to a commercial offering.The purpose of advertising may also be to reassure employees or shareholders that a company is visible or successful.Examples of Advertising/Marketing Industry:

The press is basically all of the newspapers and gossip magazines. The purpose of these is to spread any news they get told about celebrities or pedestrians. Anything that goes on gets published if found out. It could be helpful or it could destroy you.Examples of Press: The sun, Mirror, Take a Break, Chat.
