Bienvenidos• Welcome to Mrs. Huff’s Spanish Auction House• Today on the auction block are several

Spanish sentences– Some sentences are grammatically perfect– Some sentences are grammatically incorrect (you

should not waste your money on a defective sentence)

• Your goal: Buy correct sentences without breaking your budget

• Each group present today has a budget of $5000

• All proceeds from today’s auction will go to benefit the Spanish Teacher’s Mental Health Fund

Auction House Rules• There is a certain sophistication and decorum

associated with auctions. Therefore, any group being disruptive to the process by talking or being unsportsmanlike will be fined $50 to be assessed immediately.

• All groups today will have homework following the auction, except for the group that has the best outcome

• Best Outcome: Buy the most correct sentences and have the most money left over
