Subject Pronouns tell us WHO is doing the action of a verb.

He speaks Spanish. Él habla español. We speak Spanish. Nosotros hablamos

español.

I am from NC. Ella es de México. She is from Mexico.

Mi primera clase es las matemáticas. Mi segunda clase es la clase de historia.

La clase = feminine thus primera & segunda

Mi segundo periodo es el inglés. Mi cuarto periodo es la educación física.

El periodo = masculine thus segundo & cuarto

Verbs ~ Verbos

Verbs tell us WHAT the subject is DOING in the sentence.

He speaks Spanish. Él habla español. We speak Spanish. Nosotros hablamos

español.

Hablar = to speak

Bailar = to dance

Yo bailo = I dance

Tú bailas = You dance

Èl/ella/ baila = he/she dances

Nosotros bailamos = We dance

Vosotros bailáis = Y'all dance

ellos/ellas/ bailan = They dance
