DESCRIPTION

Learning From Past Notable Earthquakes The 7.0 magnitude Haiti Earthquake that killed 230,000+, largely because of the inadequacy of the building code, left over 1 million homeless and jobless survivors stuck in tent cities facing a hurricane (Tomas), cholera outbreak, and health-care problems for the next three years. The lessons from this earthquake mega disaster touches every emotion we have. Presentation courtesy of Dr. Walter Hays, Global Alliance for Disaster Reduction
