Page 1: Twitter assignment

Tom Altepeter:

Is very aware that the student body of Marshall University is following him. But besides that he

actually seems like a cool guy. He uses his twitter to convey ideas and show other people his ideas on

education. He seems very passoniate about teaching, and by just the looks of his twitter, he loves being

and educator. He advocates love in many of his tweets I recognized, and uses many inspirational quotes.

Some of which he even tags users in. He is someone that you could look up to before becoming an

educator, and then modeling how he does.

George Couros:

A very outgoing educator. He is actually in administration which appealed to me because that’s

where I want to be. He also speaks highly of other educators. George users his twitter to find ways to

improve technology for all grades, and by some of his tweets he looks to solve problems for anyone who

is having trouble. Very adventurous guy, and he does have some humor to him. He is definitely someone

that I will keep following for future reference.

Eric Shening:

Another educator that is in the administration position now. Another reason why Eric appealed

to me was because of his background. Not only is he a principal of a high school in New jersey but he is

also a NASSP winner, which stands for National Digital Principal award winner. Also he is an adobe

education leader, author and public speaker. His resume alone just in his twitter bio really speaks

wonders for him. He is a very positive and upbeat tweeter. He does like most of the ones I have been

following and tries to solve problems for a better future. He actually is inspirational with all that he has

accomplished. His success should serve as a wakeup call to others, and giving them the motivation to

wanting to be as successful as he is.

Jeff Delp:

Another educator that is a Principal. Though he is not one of a high school, but junior high. If you

think about it, that might be very difficult since most kids are going through a bunch of stuff during

those times. The reason I picked him was because he reminded me of myself. A very funny guy, who

looks like he loves life. He is very connected on twitter, and has pushed things for people of another

race. He says in his bio that he is aspiring difference maker, and that is what all educators should be.

Making a difference in students, and leaving a lasting impression. He is someone I also plan to look up to

and keep following for updates and strategies that he is working to solve.

Harold Blanco:

A professor at Marshall University. In his bio it says Instructional Technology and computer for

teachers. He himself personally is a humble person. He is very excited about education, and has a

passion for wanting to change it because of how depressed it has remained, and the educational outlook

that makes almost all educators look bad. He pushed 21st century education, and stresses the use of

technology in class. His tweets speak for what I just said, as just a few that I listed has social media, and

top ten in tech tweets. He uses twitter to share ideas, and show solutions to problems. Just recently he

was tweeting about his home country and the problems they were facing, using hashtags to share the

story to others. A very great educator, with good attributes. All of this from personal experience.
