Istanbul is Turkey mayor city, but Ankara is its capital.

The currency is the Turkish lira.

Turkey has got seven neighbour countries: Armenia, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Georgia, Bulgaria and Greece.

It’s famous for the food, it has many species, and it has very beautiful cities, beaches and villages.

Turkish is the official language. English is a compulsory subject in schools. Some Turkish people don’t speak English, as their first language is Turkish.

Lots of people from Russia, Bulgaria and Romania live and work in Turkey.

There are also people from Greece, Armenia and Japan.
