Trnava

Trnava is one of the oldest and most beautiful mediaeval towns in Slovakia.

It was the first town to be granted the privileges of a Free Royal Town

The baroque cupola bears the gilded statue of Virgin Mary

Created in 1695

The top of the 4 m pillar bears the sculptural groupof the Holy trinity in the act of crowning Virgin Mary

st. Anna Church Church of the Ursulines

The one- nave church has an oval ground plan that is very rare in Slovakia

High Altar inside is the large painting st.anna tutoring virgin mary as a child and in other site is chrits on the olive mountain

Under Virgin Mary altar is a decorated tin coffin containing the relics of the holy martys of Koice

St. Helen Church

Dated from 14th century

Later rebuilt in the baroque style

The southern chapel has the oldest and only preserved table altar in Slovakia

The Evangelical Augsburg Church

It is an atypical building

It was built in 1924

John Baptist Cathedral

Is the first early early-baroquebuilding in Slovakia

It is made of bricks and it has 35 four storey towels and 4 gates
