How to set up a

tripod for a

medium close up

shot!

Open the legs of the

tripod so that the base is

flat and sturdy.

Step 1

Make sure the leg locks

are locked so that the

base stays sturdy when

lifting the middle part of

the tripod.

Step 2

Step 3

Lift the centre column of the

tripod and again make sure the

centre locks are secure so that

when you are filming the camera

won’t be tilted or unbalanced.

Step 4

Check that the spirit level is

balanced; this can be done by

checking that the bubble is in the

centre circle on the tripod head.
