- History about earth transportation:

• 3500 b.c. – Wheels on carts were invented • 2000– Horses weredomesticated and used for

transportation• 16 th century–Horsecar was invented.• 19th century– the first automobile was invented.

– Bicycle was invented• 20th century: The gasoline car was built.

– The diesel and electric locomotives were built.

Horsecar and automobile- Horsecar are powered by horses; automobile works

with gasoline, diesel, eletric and Hydrogen.- The first vehicle was designed by Ferdinand Verbiest. It

was made for the Chinese Emperor. Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot built the first self propelled mechanical vehicle or automobile.

- Automobile are used by the most of the people (individually or shared). Used for tourism, military, exploration, oil and gas platform inspections.

Train- Train is a connected series of vehicles for rail transport

that move along a track.- They can transport cargo or passengers- High speed rail runs at speeds above 200 km/h

Bicycle- Bicycle (or bike, pusbike, cycle) it´s powered by human.- It has pedal to can be driven- They are individually or shared.- A person who ride a bicycle is called a ciclyst or bicyclist.

Feet- Most of the people have two feet.- They are individually. - You can use it for walk and go to a lot of places.- With your feet you will have the most precise and

meticulous trips.

- History about water transportation:

• 3500 b.c. – the river boat were invented • 1620 – Cornelis Drebbel invented the first submarine• 1787 – the steamboat was invented• 1807 – the first steamboat with regular passenger service• 1912 – the Titanic was the largest passenger steamship in the world• 1956 – the hovercraft was invented

The Submarine- Underwater travel.- The first submarine was invented after First World War.- The man has wanted to explore the ocean always and later he

recognized their military potencial.- Used for tourism, military, exploration, oil and gas platform

inspections.

The Ferries- They carry passengers and their vehicles.- Public transport systems of many waterside cities and islands.- They´re comfortable and they aren´t very expensive.

The Cruise ships- Used for pleasure travels.- Used to carry groups of tourist from port to port on a route, they

travel, live on and visit different countries and cities.- From 2006 they are an important tourism industry.

A fishing vessel or fishing boat

- Used to cath fish in the sea, in the lake or in a river.- Used in commercial, artisanal and recreational fishing.

The Boat people- Used by refugees, illegal inmigrants and people without resources

use dangerously when they emigrate and they want to escape from their countries.

- They risk their lives to escape, and they travel in a small boat and it isn´t sure.

- The term came into common use during the seventies with the Vietnamese refugees.

The hovercraft

- It´s a craft capable of traveling over surface.- It´s supported by a high-pressure cushion of air.- They can travel over land, ice and water by a cushion of air.- Used for sport, passenger service, after a natural disaster for cases

of emergency, civil and military applications.

Airplanes

General AviationGeneral aviation includes varied types of aircraft ranging from small, light planes to record-breaking, non-stop, around-the-world planes like the Voyager.

Military AviationThe military fly has a variety of aircraft types including bombers, fighters, transports.

Commercial Aviation Airliners can range in size from commuter aircrafts, which are sometimes so small that these planes only carry a few passengers, to major carriers flying Boeing 747s which can carry several hundred passengers.

Helicopter

It has the ability to takeoff and land vertically to hover, and to fly forwards, backwards, and laterally.

It has been chosen to conduct tasks that were previously not possible with other Aircraft.

Today, helicopter uses are: transportation, construction, firefighting, search and rescue, and military uses.
