What is tragedy? tragedy kind of the drama
that presents a serious subject matter about terrible events in a dignified manner

invokes ,an accompanying catharsis or pleasure audiences

Aristotle definition tragedy?
Tragedy , then imitation of action that is serious, complete and of a certain magnitude;
In the language embellished with each kind artistic ornament, the several kind of being found in separate parts of the play;
In the form of action, not of narrative; through pity and fear effective the proper purgation catharsis of these and similar emotion.
Characteristics of tragedy?
Good or fine , Aristotle relates this quality to moral purpose and say it is relative to class even a women may be good and also a slave , women may be said to an inferior being and the slave quite worthless.

What is characteristics epic ?

of great velour or requiring superhuman courage.
Supernatural forces – god, angle, demons insert themselves in the action.
It is written in a very special style.

The major difference between the two is method tragedy attains the same and as the epic, but in more direct and concentrated fashion and as such it has a claim to be recognized as the two kind.
Tragedy is richer pleasure arising catharsis pity , fear.
