Education is vital to the pace of the social, political and economic development of any nation
Due to advancement of technology educational system have developed and created various educational methods.
In our day’s education can be acquired through several ways such as attending university, online learning, self-study, or hiring independent tutor.
Effective teaching is important because teaching is based on helping children progress.
A tradition is a belief or behavior passed down within a group or society with symbolic meaning or special significance with origins in the past.
Traditional teaching is concerned with the teacher being the controller of the learning environment
Power and responsibility are held by the teacher.
They regard students as having 'knowledge holes' that need to be filled with information.
Traditional class requires a fixed place or environment for learning and teaching.
Traditional method of teaching is when a teacher directs students to learn through
memorization
Recitation
techniques thereby not developing their critical thinking problem solving and decision making skills.
COMPUTER ASSISTED TEACHINGComputer-assisted teaching usually includes multimedia instructional formats, such as animation, video and simulation, and virtual learning environment such as WebCT and Blackboard.
Computer can play an important role in enhancing the efficiency of the teaching process.
making students more creative and providing them with an individualized learning environment.
Amongst all teaching strategies, Computer Assisted Teaching is perhaps the best because it offers individualized instruction.

Computer-aided- or computer-assisted- is a prefix that hints to the
use of a computer as an indispensabletool in a certain field, usually derived from more traditional fields of science and engineering.
CAL is individualized, that is each student is free to work at his own place, totally unaffected by the performance of any other students.
Information is presented in a structured form. It proves useful in the study of a subject where there is hierarchy of facts and rules.
CAL forces active participation on the part of the student, which contrasts with the more passive role in reading a book or attending a lecture.
CAL packages may not fulfill expectations of teachers. Objectives and methods decided by the CAL author and of a teacher may differ.
Motivating and training teachers to make use of computers in education is a challenging task. They may have fear of this new device.
Gives the instructor the chance to expose students to unpublished or not readily available material.
Complements certain individual learning preferences.
Some students depend upon the structure provided by highly teacher-centered methods.
Places students in a passive rather than an active role, which hinders learning.
Requires the instructor to have or to learn effective writing and speaking skills.
Requires a considerable amount of unguided student time outside of the classroom to enable understanding and long-term retention of content
