Introduction

Growth in ASEAN and India is poised to outstrip most other economies and therefore set to play a more important role as centers of international commerce and trade. The recent landmark trade and investment agreements between ASEAN – India (FTA*) and Malaysia – India (CECA*, CMCA*) have unleashed unpreedented new business opportunities for entrepreneurs everywhere.

Now that countries have moved passed the crisis and the economies are on the mend, national interests seem to make Governments act in their countries’ self interests. The panel will explore the implications of; CECA (India & Malaysia) and the ASEAN-FTA.
