Now, trade pictures with your partner. You will use your partner’s picture to write four sentences. Write two sentences that start “There is” and two sentences that start “There are”. Be sure to include interesting adjectives and correct capitalization and punctuation in your sentence.

Use “There is” when you are talking about one item only. Use “There is” when you are talking about items that cannot be
