Step 1: Pre-Assessment Survey

In this pre-assessment piece I will be collecting data from students about bullying. This data will give me an idea of situations and places that bullying behavior is prevalent. It will give me a clear view as to what items still need to be addressed as well as the level of bullying that is currently taking place at our school.

Conclusion

As I move into the 2009-2010 school year, I will be carrying a new position at my school working with students over the noon hour on conflict resolution and many other social skills. I am also a part of our school’s behavior committee, and a main focus for us this year is to work on behavior on the playground & bullying specifically. This unit is a fantastic way to touch on the issue with my students. I was also able to find a ton of resources that I will be able to use as well as share with my staff.
