Where are we today?

We still have universities!

BUT we also still have MOOCs

What have the MOOC platforms done to keep MOOCs alive?

MOOCs have moved away from their original concept of providing free education to those who need it the most.

You are more likely to enrol on a MOOC if you are from a developed country and you already have a degree.

So, the MOOC platforms have changed their focus to suit this audience.

MOOCs are ideal to address the needs of lifelong learners.BUT – still most people are unaware of MOOCs.Raising awareness of MOOCs is vital if we are to reap their full benefits.

Many are still sceptical towards the true value of MOOC credentials.

But a positive shift in attitude will come from universities offering credit for MOOCs, and corporates using MOOCs as a recruitment tool
