QUADRIPLEGIC AND PARAPLEGIC

Quadriplegic (quadriplegia) and Paraplegic (paraplegia) both derived from latin and greek languages. Quadra meaning four which is derived from latin and it relates to the number of limbs. Plegic is derived from the greek word plegia meaning paralysis and para derived from the greek word for two. Both are terms used to describe a person who has been paralyzed due to a spinal cord injury.
