In the estate, inhabitants build shacks erected with wooden planks, zinc roofing sheets and polythene to protect the structure from water. People rent the shanks for N500 to N600 per month. There are no toilet facilities, the inhabitants defecate in the open, pit toilets are used by high end residents.
  • 11. The Eden Team selected education amongst all social issues listed fundamentally because imperatively every kid and generation should have its roots in platforms that over values, knowledge e.t.c Most kids in this community attend informal schools owned and operated by educated/semi-educated adults. We believe that by grooming these kids in their forming years to be educationally sound, the next generations hopes stands a better chance of experiencing changes. The team together with other youth volunteers would implement a dynamic curriculum of fun and learning and over time would spread out to other areas like Information Technology, Basic Recycling processes and the likes as undeniably some of the wastes in this area could be used again.
