the French people to rebel against king

The reason for change

• The French did not want a king to

rule any longer, instead they

wanted the ordinary people of

France to take control of the

government.

The storming of The Bastille

• This started with the storming of The Bastille.

There is now a day in memory of the once

prison,

after that the national assembly.

Thousands of people came to fight the

French army.

The Guillotine

• One of the most famous members

of the national assembly was Dr

Guillotin, he proposed that all

death sentences should be carried

out by a machine.

This method by a

quick and painless

before this people

were executed.

Declaration ofthe rights of man

Man is born free and equal.

People have rights to liberty,Property and security.

The law must be the same for all.

People have the freedom to speak,write and print what they wish.
