Considering that countries will only develop any kind of weapons if they feel the urge to protect themselves from a foreign threat, it

is reasonable to conclude that if there is trust in international relations, no country

will feel the necessity to protect themselves from a threat and they will not invest into

construction of nuclear weapons.

How to build trust in international relations

One indispensable key do construct and maintain international trust lies on commercial relations.

Once two countries have constructed a stable and active trade, they will not only trust each other,

but will also depend on each other. And the mutual dependence plays an important role in

maintaining international peace and trust.

The Iran case and the importance played by the agreement among Iran,

Brazil and Turkey. In order to integrate Iran into the international scenario, Brazil and

Turkey led an agreement with Iran. This agreement, that demanded a huge effort from Brazilian diplomacy, was in fact in its

way to resolve the problem between Iran and the International Community, that have been standing that Iran is developing

nuclear technology in order to construct nuclear weapons. Despite all efforts dispended by Brazil´s and Turkey´s diplomacy,

the UN´s security council approved a trade sanction to Iran. If this sanction becomes effective, it will throw away the possibility of

constructing trust among Iran and the International Community.

What international community should do in order to not throw away the door opened by the treaty among Brazil,

Turkey and Iran.

First of all, International Community should recognize the importance of this treaty and see it as a key to construct trust, once the treaty is based on commercial

cooperation, and commercial development brings about trust. And trust brings about international cooperation and peace. So, if the real purpose of the

international community is trying to create a peaceful relation with Iran, they should develop trade issues with Iran instead of imposing commercial sanctions, once it will

depart Iran from the international scenario. Moreover, if those sanctions became implanted, the construction of trust among Iran and the international community

will become also impossible.
